Edmonton’s Scenic Route To Alaska Join RTL 2024 Saturday lineup

We’re excited to have more Canadian talent joining the Rock The Lake 2024 with the addition of Edmonton indie-rock trio, Scenic Route to Alaska. Scroll down to find out more about the band, and a hint towards something big dropping tomorrow, Friday, May 31, at 10 AM.

About Scenic Route to Alaska:

Born and raised in Edmonton, Scenic Route to Alaska are childhood best friends who have grown to be a consistent touring force in Western Canada’s music scene since 2011. The band, comprised of Trevor Mann, Shea Connor, and Murray Wood, just released their seventh album, “Lasts Forever,” this April. This new release brings a matured yet light-hearted indie rock sound, blending catchy melodies with Trevor’s vocals to explore themes of love, loss, and nostalgia. The trio self-recorded the album live at Studio Bell in Calgary, using iconic gear like Randy Bachman’s vintage Stratocaster and Neil Young’s 1958 amp. The vocals were later recorded in Murray’s basement, affectionately called the Jazz Café, adding a personal touch to the album’s creation.

A Message From Rock The Lake:

“We are very excited to have even more talent from Western Canada join our 2024 lineup by adding Scenic Route to Alaska,” says Mike Strawn, VP & General Manager of Sports, Media and Entertainment for GSL Group.  “Music and entertainment are in our DNA at GSL, and the essence of Rock The Lake is to celebrate and support Canadian artists while bringing people together and connecting our communities.”
