Rock The Lake Unveils Limited Edition Festival Artwork by Kelowna Artist Sumit Gill

Rock The Lake music festival (RTL), presented by GSL Group’s Sports & Entertainment division, is excited to showcase local talent this summer with custom festival artwork created by Kelowna-based artist Sumit Gill. The vibrant piece, which celebrates the spirit of the Okanagan Valley, will also be available on a limited edition festival t-shirt at the festival from July 11 to 13, 2025.

“This year, we really wanted to shine a light on local Canadian talent,” said Dustin Pakosh, creative director at GSL Group. “From building an all-Canadian music lineup to teaming up with amazing local artists like Sumit Gill, every choice we made was about celebrating our creative energy right here at home. Rock The Lake is about community, and this year’s festival reflects that fully.”

Known for her intricate floral designs and love of bold colours, Sumit’s custom artwork for Rock The Lake is a vibrant patchwork inspired by the nature, culture, and creative energy of Kelowna. The piece features iconic local symbols, including Ogopogo, and summer scenes that capture life in the Okanagan.

“I wanted to highlight the best things about Kelowna,” Gill explained about her artistic process. “Kelowna itself is very inspiring. There’s water, there’s mountains, there’s just wildlife, there’s everything. It’s just the eclectic surroundings. People from everywhere, and there’s so much creativity here. I wanted to show that energy in the piece.”

Festivalgoers can get their hands on the limited edition t-shirt featuring Sumit’s design on site at Prospera Place July 11th to 13th, 2025. This year’s Rock The Lake lineup showcases all-Canadian talent, headlined by Simple Plan, The Sheepdogs, and more, alongside Kelowna’s own Battle of the Bands winners, CrushXO and Lucky Monkey.

Three-day weekend passes, VIP passes, and single-day passes can be purchased at selectyourtickets.com. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets quickly before second-release passes sell out and prices increase.
